If you’re in need of Easter decoration ideas and tips, you have come to the right place! In the five years I have been blogging, I have yet to fill you in on where to find all the good stuff to decorate for Easter, and how to stage everything! So let’s dive in…

Start with the basics first:

Find some shelves you want to use or end tables you’d like to decorate. If you have a hutch or bookshelf that is available to use for the holidays, even better! The chicken wire shelf I use year-round is from Hobby Lobby here. If it’s not on sale when you’re clicking on the link, try again next week and it should be on sale for 40% off! (Hot Tip: Hobby Lobby has half of their store on sale every other week.) If you don’t want to invest in new trays or shelves, just clear off whatever area you do want to decorate, and go to town!

Where I buy my Easter decor:

You will see a LOT of Rae Dunn ceramics mixed in my holiday decorating. I love having a China hutch full of different themed pottery based on the upcoming holiday, and I source all of mine from HomeGoods/TJ Maxx. So any Easter decorations you see that are glass canisters or mugs, are going to be by Rae Dunn. If there is a certain canister you love that you can’t find in your store, sometimes the best bet is to get in on Mercari. Otherwise I just recommend finding what speaks to you in store.

For the smaller items that are more unique, I always look to Etsy for inspiration. Then, I find things like tablecloths, blankets, runners, plates, and napkins at good ol’ Target!

Tiered Tray Easter Decoration Ideas:

Peeps theme decor

In the photo above, I got the Peeps mug hats here in all three colors. The marshmallow mugs are from Amazon here. Then I got the tiny “Easter Peeps Farm” sign inside the glass blue truck here. The signs that say “Hip Hop” and “Chillin’ with my peeps” I purchased here. The white bunny egg holders were from Target and came completely plain. I just used my Cricut to add a little bunny face to them.

I got the wooden scoop hanging from the yellow canister here. The nerdy looking eggs behind the chicken wire drawer are my favorite and they are from Hobby Lobby! I tied it all together with Easter grass in the same colors that I used throughout the tray. And it’s hard to tell from the photo, but I also have a set of battery packed colorful egg LED lights (also from Hobby Lobby) to light it up! The plastic eggs inside all of the glass egg holders are all from Target.

Tiered tray decor

The shelf above is also from Hobby Lobby here. The carrot wreath, egg garland, carrot hand towel, and matching carrot tray are all from Target. I got them in 2023 in the Bulleye’s Playground Section in-store. The white bunny wearing glasses is from Hobby Lobby here. Bonus: He’s 40% off this week! And then the “Bunny Bait” and “Treats” canisters and the jute carrots on the bottom shelf are all Rae Dunn from HomeGoods.

China Hutch Easter Decor Ideas:

As I mentioned before, all the ceramic canisters above are Rae Dunn. The garland, faux hydrangeas, and lambs ear picks, are all from Hobby Lobby. The fake hydrangeas are actually napkin rings! When we have our family over for Easter, I remove them from my display and use them for their intended purposes. Until then though, layer on that decor!

How to Decorate:

Easier said than done, I realize. But my tips is to figure out your theme. Is all of your shit pastel colored? Great! Is it all green and orange like my carrot tray? Also good! Is it all neutral tones that are more timeless? No matter what you are gravitating towards when shopping, we can find a way to make it work for you! Since I like a few different styles, I lumped my pink/yellow/and blue items on the chicken wire shelf. Then I put all my orange and green carrot stuff on the other shelf. Everything else went right into the China Hutch. So don’t sweat it if you find that you have more than one “style” of holiday decor! There is a way to make all of your Easter decor cohesive even if it is in various styles.

Easter table settings

Layer it up, add different textures, and different heights. No one wants to see your shit all lined up in a straight line. In my hutch I use risers, and even small wreaths to stand my canisters on to mix up the heights of everything. For my table, I used a disposable tablecloth from Target, but upped the ante by using jute chargers from Hobby Lobby with little egg plates on top. Then I made my centerpiece simply be a couple trees from Bullseye’s Playground at Target with some bead garland. I like to mix different types of textures and linens to draw the eye in.

Easter Coffee bar

For my coffee bar, I got my garland from here. The table runner is so cute for how inexpensive it was from Amazon! The yellow gumball machine was a red one from Target’s dollar spot that I gave a little Easter ‘glow up’ to.
