I don’t know about you guys, but the last thing my kids need at Easter is more candy. After Christmas stockings full of candy and Valentine’s Day where they get sugared up from all of their classmates, I like to take a different route at Easter. It’s not always easy to find items small enough to fit in those tiny plastic eggs, so I compiled a list of 10 non-candy items that you can hide inside plastic eggs. Bonus – a few of them even come pre-packaged for all the busy parents out there!

Fidget and Sensory toy Easter Egg Fillers

First off are these adorable Easter themed mochis. My daughters are both obsessed with these. Additionally, they’re also the top-seller at the school store we run on Fridays at their elementary school. Plus, they fit in even the smallest plastic Easter eggs.

Secondly, and along the lines of tiny pieces of shit you can fit into the small eggs, I give you these miniature squeeze balls. And they’re Easter shapes too!

Next up are these pre-filled stretchy string Easter animals. I love that they already come inside the eggs so you don’t have to do a darn thing!

The last fidget toy I found that is small enough to fit in plastic eggs are these Easter pop-its.

Tiny toy Easter egg fillers:

These glow-in-the-dark dinosaurs come in a pack of 48 for $16. Talk about an easy way to fill a lot of eggs. These are another hit at our school store with the boys. But my girls love them too!

My kids are obsessed with these tiny plushies. My mother-in-law had gifted them a claw machine for Christmas a few years back that she filled with these little guys. I love the variety and that they already come packed in their eggs.

Next up is our number 2 best-seller at school store – Mini dino eggs that hatch and grow in water! It’s also the item we make a great profit margin on because these eggs come in a pack of 60 for $14. They’re so tiny that even our girls love them since they’re so cute. If your child is impatient, they can just crush the egg shell to get to the baby dino inside. Otherwise, I advise following directions and covering them in water for 24 hours to watch them “hatch.” They grow for up to 2 days that they’re in water. My girls are of the impatient variety, so they’re egg-crushers.

For the girls out there, I love these pre-filled eggs with jewelry inside! For older girls, you could go to Claire’s and get them more age-appropriate jewelry too. But these are perfect for younger girls and you get 12 eggs for $20. Hard to beat that deal!

Next up is another great option for kids that are a little older. This set comes with 200 Easter stickers. The older kids love to stick these stickers on their water bottles and folders. Furthermore, it’s another cheap item to toss in those plastic eggs! You get 200 for $10! At .05 a pop, you won’t find a cheaper non-candy treat!

My kids are big into arts and crafts. Last year I had filled eggs with these Easter stampers that came in a box of 100. Consequently, we have stamps until the kids graduate. I wanted a different type of “art supply” they could use so I found these chalk eggs!

I hope these non-candy egg filler ideas helped you think outside the box for what to hide in your kids’ eggs! Thanks for reading as always! For non-candy Easter Basket Ideas, check out my blog here! And for previous Easter baskets I’ve made my kids, check this blog out.
