I should have posted this three weeks ago when I received the box but I wanted to actually use some of the products before giving any honest reviews on them. Here goes!!
The first thing I pulled out was the Unhide Lil’ Marshmallow faux fur blanket. I can attest that this little guy has already gotten his use because both my kids fight over it. The brand is co-founded by Ellen Degeneres (who I love) and they advocate for animal rights and a fur-free world which I will always get behind! It retails for $65.
The next non-skin care item I unpacked was the Paper Source 12 Month Floral Planner. This and the blanket were both things I chose during customization because 1) You can never have too many throw blankets in my world and 2) I am an old school mother fucker and while I do put my agenda in my phone, I like still having it written down in a planner or on a wall calendar. (It’s extremely nerdy you may say, I say it’s fucking organized!) The planner retails for $27.95
Now onto the skin-care items…. I love this Dry Bar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler and it came just as I was running out of my old faithful (Healthy Sexy Tri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner.) The Dry Bar detangler retails for $23 and smells great!
Next up is the Lashes MD Eyelash Conditioner. This stuff is fantastic! I don’t often use lash-growth serums (because who has time for that shit?) But I can attest that after using this the past few weeks my lashes already do look longer! It retails for $69.95 (WTF) and it claims to “rejuvenate and moisturize with amino acids, peptides, and vitamins.”
Then I unpacked the Cuccio Sumatology Yogahhh! Calm + Clean Epsom Salt Hand & Body Wash. Holy balls, could they think of a longer name?! I’ll be honest, this is one product I haven’t used yet as I still have a myriad of other body wash bottles to get through before I try this one. It currently is sitting in our steam shower in our guest bathroom though as it looks like a nice “spa” kind of shower gel. It retails for $39.95. Once again, WTF? $40 for a body wash is fucking bananas!!! On their site they claim it, “gently cleanses without dehydrating the skin. Using the finest ingredients, Epsom Salt helps muscles feel reinvigorated and re-energized after the most intense of workouts. The combination of Pro-Vitamin B5 + Shea Butter help keep your skin feeling moisturized post-shower. Enjoy the soothing essential oil blend of Lavender Oil to help wash away stress and worry from the day, leaving the mind, body and spirit completely calm, renewed + restored.” All I can say is for forty bucks, it fucking better do all those things listed, as well as offer to babysit my children.
I’m a sucker for a good face mask and so far have really enjoyed the Karuna Face for all Face & Eye Mask Set. It retails for $42 and includes 6 face masks and one eye mask. So far I’ve tried the Hydrating and the Anti-Oxidant masks and enjoyed both of them! Just slap it on your clean face and hang out for 20 minutes. Peel it off, toss it, and rub any excess product left into the skin.
Not sure I’ll be naked in one minute but that’s okay. I cracked up (pun intended) at the drawing of the ass on the corner of the packaging. I have yet to try this but am excited to as it’s a product I saw at Ulta that intrigued me. It’s the Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub and it retails for $16.95. It combines coffee grounds, vitamin E, sea salt, and sweet almond oil and it exfoliates your skin. On their website they claim it “Prevents stretch marks, cellulite, breakouts, psoriasis and dry skin.”
Last we have the Makeup Eraser. It removes makeup (including waterproof mascara) and is reusable. You just add water. It retails for $20. One side is used to remove makeup and the other side with longer fibers is used to exfoliate.
For those keeping tabs, I received $304.80 worth of products for a $45 box! If you haven’t tried it yet, definitely use this link so that you can get $10 off of your first box! You’ll love it so much, you’ll be throwing your baby at me in joy.
