Welcome!

I'm Susie, a stay-at-home mom, foul-mouthed wife, world traveler, sucker for fashion, and everything in between!

I'm a Colorado native and currently live in Castle Rock, Co with my husband and two daughters, two cats, and a dog. I created this to reach out to other women like me. I am heavily involved in my kids' elementary and middle school. (I’m the Social Media Director of the PTO, am President of the SAC, and am room mom.) I also enjoy traveling, baking, cooking, and crafting! I live for home decor and go all-out decorating for the holidays. I've been a vegetarian since I was six so I have a ton of recipes to share, tips for hosting parties, travel tips, and fashion finds. I lost my brother to suicide in 2008 which definitely altered the way I live my life in more ways than I imagined it would. Losing him taught me to stop sweating the small stuff and say "fuck off" to anyone or anything that brought negative energy into my life. My aunt would always tell me and my cousin that we "Looked like angels until we opened our mouths." Well, over the years that hasn't changed. So if you are the faint of heart that gasps at an occasional cuss word (okay - a LOT of cuss words) or a makeup free photo, this probably isn't going to be your cup of tea. Otherwise, I encourage you to grab some coffee (preferably in a Rae Dunn mug), sit back, and enjoy the ride!

If you are in or near the Brisbane area when visiting Australia, the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is a must-see. It was one of the first things we booked, knowing our 6 and 9 year old daughters would love it. It ended up being one of my top favorite things we did as well! Let’s […]
