Take a look at my Halloween decor for 2023! It’s no secret I adore Halloween. And year after year, I switch up how I decorate, so I give you this year’s lineup, as well as where to buy all of it.

Halloween decor

Where to buy great Halloween decor:

The majority of the Halloween decor you see came from one of two places – Home Goods or Target. I do buy odds and ends off Etsy, especially for the smaller trays you see scattered about the kitchen. For all of the ceramics in the hutch above, and on my wooden bookcase, they are Rae Dunn items from TJ Maxx/Home Goods. To make things more cohesive, I put all my white Rae Dunn pottery on the book shelf, and all of my black, orange, green, and purple pottery in my hutch.

Tiered Tray Halloween decor:

I love a good tray full of tiny shit. I have three set up in my kitchen, all in different themes.

Halloween tray

For the Halloween decor on the tray above, I went with the green and black Frankenstein theme. My kids both appreciated the chocolate eyeballs in Frank’s mouth. The wooden potion bottle with eyes on it is from here, and Frankenstein Marshmallows here. The small plastic witch skeleton, mini broom and the rocking chair are all from the same Etsy shop here. The mug hats are also from Etsy here.

Halloween tray decor

I wanted to have a tray with some purple on it since I have purple Halloween decor in my China hutch. The gumball machine is from Bullseye’s Playground and I spray-painted it with sparkly purple paint. I purchased the bead garland here, mini coffin and skeleton here, and wooden spell books here. The tiny green cauldrons are just Rae Dunn salt and pepper shakers, and the mini potion bottles are from the dollar spot (bullseye’s playground) at Target!

Scary shit

For my tiny tray above, I got the “scary shit” jar off Etsy but the shop is closed now which is a bummer. The orange gems are from Amazon here. One bag of gems was more than plenty to fill both layers of my Target tray. The pumpkin lights up and is from the dollar spot at Target.

Halloween decorations

For my last tray of mini Halloween decor, I made it orange, black, and pops of white. The black haunted house is actually a blue wedding chapel bird house I made over. The gumball machine is yet again from bullseye’s playground at Target and I spray-painted it black. The tinier shit you see like the mini coffins, skulls, and ghosts all came from Michaels! The figures in front of the haunted house glow in the dark and I got them off Amazon here. All other ceramics are from Home Goods.

White Halloween Decor:

Rae Dunn Halloween

This bookshelf is all the white Rae Dunn ceramics I’ve collected the last few years. I didn’t like the look of mixing the white pottery with the colorful shit, so I staged this in our living room. Usually this bookshelf lives in our basement, but I bring it up just to stage Halloween and Christmas decor on it. And never underestimate the use of gauze or fake spider webs when staging your decor! I got mine at Target and use it year after year.

The purple coffin shelf is discontinued but the black one above is still on Amazon here. And it comes with different decals you can put on the back of it if you don’t like it plain. The potion bottles are from Bullseye’s Playground over the years. Target releases about 8-10 mini potions every year and they give them a different decal and bottle shape year after year to keep it fresh.

Hutch decor

The photo above and below are just different angles of our formal dining room. As you can tell by my gallery wall, our house is usually more neutral and beachy until the holidays come! For our dining table, I got the tablecloth and coffin tray from Home Goods and all other items came from Target this year!

These two bookcases are usually actually full of books! I have so much tiny breakable shit, that I had to clear them (minus one tiny shelf of the cookbooks I always grab!) Most of the items here are crafts my kids have made over the years, peppered in with some Halloween birds from Target, and some luster Rae Dunn items.

The finishing touches:

After I got all the Halloween decor up, I added some finishing touches like throw blankets, throw pillows, table cloths, and some bats that I stuck on the wall. And don’t forget to light some fall scented candles for added ambiance!

The jack-o-lantern fruit light up and are from Target, as is the gold skeleton. The hologram skull candle holder is from bath and body works new this year!

Lastly are a couple photos from our back porch. All Halloween items you see are from Target. I hope these photos helped inspire you on your own Halloween decor voyage! If there are any particular items you want to know about to buy them yourself reach out to me at any time! I don’t keep secrets on all the good shit I find. Here is my blog from last year on how I decorated. And here and here are the boo baskets I’ve made this year for my kids and neighbors! Thanks so much for reading and Happy Halloween!
