I recently reached out to a mom’s group I am a part of on Facebook to see what online boutiques they like to shop online because I was in a bit of a rut. (And let’s face it, taking two young kids shopping in a brick and mortar store sounds fucking awful.) While there were plenty of ideas from the moms group, none of them really struck my fancy. So here are the ones I usually shop and please feel free to comment on any other places you love! I will mention that I am 5’9 so there are some places I don’t shop merely because they don’t have long inseams. I also have a long torso so shirts that are considered tunics on most women look like just regular shirts on me. And don’t get me started on the camel toe and wedgie one-piece suits can give you when you’re a fucking amazonian. So if you’re tall too, I feel your pain, and try out these boutiques below. If you’re short, fear not, as these are all boutiques catering to the masses.

Red Dress Boutique. My husband and I were in a Shark Tank binge a few years back, and this shop that started as a brick and mortar in Athens, GA was featured. I immediately loved the clothes they were showcasing, and they ended up getting a deal from Mark Cuban. Anyhow, I love their dresses. For tall girls, I will say their maxi dresses have been hit or miss. I have a couple that are definitely long enough and a couple more that will only allow me to wear my flattest sandals with them. But for midi dresses or knee-length dresses, you won’t be disappointed.

Also for dresses, Lulu’s is great. I rely heavily on their reviews, as a lot of women who write reviews post their measurements and photos of them wearing the product which is extremely helpful!

Nordstrom: A big box retailer I realize, but they do have amazing stuff. Some of my favorite lines they carry are TopShop, Free People, Billabong, ASTR, Gibson, and BB Dakota. I may be 36, but I am sucker for “surfer girl” type sundresses and the like.

ASOS. They have an entire section for tall girls called ASOS Tall and it’s awesome.

Vici Collections. I will say, if you’re tall you will never fit into their pants (unless you like the high-water look.) But for tops and cute sweaters, they have a lot of great options. I wear a size small at every other retailer but have to get size medium through this site since their sizing runs more like junior’s department sizing.

The Pink Lily Boutique. I’ve found some cute dresses here! Their tunics are the ones I was referring to above though, where in the photos, they look like they hit their models mid-thigh and they barely cover my waistband of my pants! Their models are 5’6 tops so just keep that in mind when looking at their clothing. But it’s very affordable and colorful, so check it out. Also as a side note, I hate when they say “model is 5’10” on a site when she clearly is like 5’7. When did modeling become like the NBA where you have to fluff up your height? Oh wait…since forever. But damn, it’s super annoying!

Free People. You can also get their clothing at major department stores like Macy’s or Nordstrom too. The vibe of their clothing is like my college, crunchy, liberal, and pricey. Delicious!

Anthropologie. It’s not the cheapest shop around, but they do have really unique dresses. Their housewares are really cool and their candles smell amaaaazzzziiinnng.

There are other stores I get my basics from. Express carries long inseam jeans and dress pants so I get my pants there. Victoria’s Secret has a workout line that has long-length yoga pants and sweatpants which is great. They used to carry clothing online but stopped a few years ago, and that was a very dark time for me. Brriinnng theeemmm baaacccckkk!

I love to get t-shirts whenever we go to concerts or when we travel. I pick up t-shirts from local breweries and colleges when we are out of state as it’s just a fun memento to remember the trip. These are the things I live in when working out or just lounging around the house.

For shoes and jewelry and all things accessories, I’ll have a later post on those. After 13 years in the shoe biz I have a lot of opinions on shoes haha! I hope you enjoyed, and comment below on where your favorite places to shop are!
