Christmas 2025 is officially here, and this year’s Christmas decorations are all about creating a home that feels cozy, joyful, and intentionally curated. From soft textures and glowing lights to those little touches that make a space feel magical, I’m sharing the pieces that brought my holiday vision to life, and hopefully give you ideas to make yours feel just as special.
If you’re new here, buckle up, because you’re about to discover just how delightfully neurotic I am when it comes to Christmas décor. Our house doesn’t just have holiday decorations…it has themes. Plural. On purpose. (Well, sort of.) My tastes are all over the place, and instead of forcing them to get along, I let each floor live its best festive life. The main floor is full-on gingerbread dreams, the top floor is a “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” explosion in my girls’ rooms, my office is pink and mint vintage magic, and our master bedroom? Purple—thanks entirely to my Grandma Susie and the velvet stocking that started it all. And the basement? A full snowman takeover, complete with all the cozy farmhouse vibes.
Gingerbread Christmas Decorations:

As you can probably tell, I go all-in on the classic red and green Christmas vibe for this space. Festive, cozy, and just a little bit extra. I pull pieces from all my go-to spots: Hobby Lobby, Target, Etsy, and Pottery Barn. The big gingerbread guys in the right window nook? Total Hobby Lobby finds. Most of the goodies on the bookcase are Target treasures. And then I sprinkled in all the fun stuff: Stockings, peppermint pillows, gingerbread pillows, gingerbread garland, and a big fluffy mantle garland to tie it all together. Oh, and twinkle lights. So many battery-operated twinkle lights from the Wonder Shop at Target, because Christmas magic requires nothing less.

In our formal dining room, I went for a little mix-and-match. Linens are from HomeGoods, placemats from Hobby Lobby, and the prettiest Christmas plates from…H&M, of all places! Who knew they’d be the secret source for cute holiday entertaining finds? I got the gingerbread napkin rings here. Meanwhile, our everyday dining table in the kitchen is gorgeous but the wood is peeling (rude), so I usually throw a cheap tablecloth over it. Plus, that poor thing is our daily workhorse, so it gets plenty of love and abuse.
Gingerbread Tray Décor:

For my gingerbread trays in the kitchen, the ceramics are Rae Dunn that I found in-store a few years ago. But you can find the Gingerbread canister, Oh Snap Canister, and Merry Christmas pitchers online. Most of the wooden items behind the chicken wire are from Hobby Lobby with the exception of the gingerbread mug hats.
On the shelf in the photo below, once again the Mrs. Claus canister is Rae Dunn. I got the wooden scoop for it here. The candy jar is from Hobby Lobby a few years back but I linked a similar one. I made the bead garland, got the “Made with love” sign from Hobby Lobby, and added more twinkly lights from Target.

We can’t have all of these Christmas decorations without a hot cocoa bar! This buffet table is in our formal dining room and is the perfect spot to set up a hot cocoa bar for my kids. I stock it with: Christmas marshmallows, candy canes, chopped up Andes mints, candy cane bits, marshmallow toppers, cookie mug buddies, and hot cocoa. And of course I have festive cups for it, both ceramic and disposable for when we are on-the-go. And naturally I have to add in some cute bead garland, cocoa canister, and gingerbread drink stirrers to pull it all together. The red tray holding the packets of hot cocoa is an old Target Dollar Spot find, but here is one.

Continuing on in the formal dining room…I love this room since my hutch full of Rae Dunn is in it. The twinkly lights hanging on the curtains are actually Christmas card holders! So as we start getting them, I’ll hang them up. I tried to link all the pottery I can find second-hand on my LTK page here.

Bar:
Our bar area now moonlights as the cats’ dining room (because our Boston Terrier would happily inhale every last bit of their food if it stayed on the floor). But when it’s not operating as a feline café, I love turning it into a festive little spot to pour a holiday cocktail. To Christmas it up, I stuck some Command hooks on the backsplash and draped garland, star lights, and even tiny liquor ornaments like this, this, and this across it. Then I added remote-controlled twinkle lights. Add a cute bar set, a wine chiller, and the actual booze, and boom, you’re fully prepared to entertain…or at least look like you’re about to host the classiest party ever.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas Decorations:
Moving upstairs to my girls’ rooms (and the floor of many themes.) Usually Lila’s room is very tween/girly with a touch of beachy feel. But that ends up tying in just fine with the Grinch comforter, throw pillows, Grinch stocking, wooden garland, advent calendar, and wooden figures. Both girls have both a three-foot tree with ornaments they picked as well as a desktop tree that has all the grinch lights and mini ornaments on it.

For Winnie’s room, I kept the same Grinch theme going. She has the exact same wall décor as Lila, because let’s be honest, the world might end if one kid gets something the other doesn’t. I’ll level with you, though: Winnie’s room is tiny compared to Lila’s. So to make space for the Grinch takeover, her regular stuff gets evicted and sent to storage for the season.
And yes, both girls proudly display all of my old holiday Barbies. A true full-circle mom moment, and it makes my heart ridiculously happy.

Moving on to my office…and by “office,” I mean the corner where my desk is shoved while the rest of the room belongs entirely to the kids. In here, we’re rocking a pink-and-mint Christmas moment. The only thing I really decorate are the bookcases, packed with the girls’ books and craft supplies, because everything else is pretty much Barbie’s world and I’m just living in it.

Purple Christmas Decorations:
When I was a kid, my favorite color was purple. Around that same time, my mom was a manager at Target, and they used to host these super fun “decorate the tree” parties for employees and their families. Each group got a themed tree, and the best part was that we got to choose one ornament to keep. My purple obsession began with one tiny ornament, and it only spiraled from there.
Then my Grandma Susie made me a velvet purple stocking to match, which basically sealed the deal. Even though my love for purple has mellowed over the years, I still decorate our master bedroom with those little childhood treasures. It’s nostalgic, sweet, and a unique, just the way I like it. Our bedding is this comforter, this layering blanket, these sheets, and in the corner is this towel warmer. For the purple tree, I used these lights and added these ornaments to my childhood ones.

Snowman Christmas Decorations:
Finally, we make our way to the basement, aka Snowman Central. When we first built the house, the basement wasn’t finished, so a few years later we turned it into a full-on bonus level: a cozy living room for Vince’s “man cave,” a guest room, a guest bath with a steam shower (Vince’s must-have), and a home gym (my must-have).
The whole space leans very farmhouse, so down here I go all-in on the snowmen…plus a couple of Santas who match the vibe and earned their spot. It’s cozy, cute, and just a little bit country, perfect for a basement retreat.

When we redid our basement, we wanted a vending machine but didn’t want to pay for one. So Vince refurbished an old bookcase to look like one! He just replaced the backing with pegboard and added some LED light strips and hooks to it.

To shop my décor:
All of my shit is shoppable! Just got to my LTK page here, and here is my Christmas Decoration collection. If it’s not linked? It’s from Hobby Lobby. Otherwise, I try my best to find the exact items for you so you can make them your own. I have an upcoming post of this year’s “Brrr Baskets” for my girls. But if you are in need of inspiration for other Christmas ideas, check out my blog on how I decorated a couple years ago here. And here is one about our trip to NYC during Christmas time. And if you need Christmas gift ideas, I have a ton of gift guides here. As always, thanks for stopping by!
