Welcome!

I'm Susie, a stay-at-home mom, foul-mouthed wife, world traveler, sucker for fashion, and everything in between!

I’m a born-and-raised Colorado girl living in Castle Rock with my husband, two daughters, two cats, and a dog who all work together to ensure my house is never clean for more than 12 minutes. I started this little corner of the internet to find my people - the women juggling kids, hobbies, friendships, chaos, and a personality that’s just a touch too much for a PTO meeting. (You know - the ones who bring themed snacks and probably volunteer for too many things.) I’m a lifestyle blogger and content creator sharing my favorite travel finds, recipes, home décor, fashion, hosting ideas, and everyday chaos. I’m also a PTO Social Media Director, SAC President, and room mom who apparently doesn’t know the meaning of “keep it simple.” I’ve been a vegetarian since I was six, I go feral for holiday decorating, and I believe life is too short for boring or bad vibes. After losing my brother to suicide in 2008, I learned to stop sweating the small stuff and live loudly, laugh often, and say “piss off” to anything that steals my peace. My aunt always said my cousin and I “looked like angels until we opened our mouths.” Still accurate. So if you clutch your pearls over a few cuss words (okay…let’s be honest, many cuss words), sarcasm, or the occasional makeup-free selfie where I look like I fought a toddler and lost, this may not be your cup of tea. For the rest of you, grab your coffee, buckle up, and welcome! It's going to be fun!

Classroom Valentine’s Day Party Ideas

I don’t know if I am the only one who goes into a state of depression once Christmas is over or not. The hype, the constant preparation, and then BAM! It’s over and we are left picking up tiny pieces of wrapping paper, fake pine tree needles, and rouge Barbie shoes like nothing every happened. […]

Royal Gorge Santa Express Train Ride

Susie Lynn No Comments

This is the second year we’ve done the Santa Express train ride for the kids and while it is expensive, it’s a lot of fun. We’ve also done the Georgetown Loop “Santa’s Lighted Forest” train ride, and while that was a fraction of the cost, it wasn’t done up quite as cute. It is still […]
