It’s that time of year again to “boo” your neighbors with some Boo Baskets! This year, 90% of what I gave came from Target! I hit up the Dollar Spot (Bullseye’s Playground) as soon as they start putting out Halloween decor. Then I grabbed a couple things from Dollar Tree, some pumpkin beers, and threw it all together!
What to put inside:
I made two separate baskets with very specific neighbors in mind. The loot in the above photo I got for my friend, Jenny. The wooden “boo” sign, “You’ve Been Boo’d” spatula, ghost-shaped stir sticks, gel window cling, Halloween sticker books (inside of the small tin buckets), spider rings, vampire teeth, puzzle, beer coozies, and candy were all from Target. I got the pop-its here. I also got these bigger ones. The skeleton and werewolf finger puppet bookmarks are from Oriental Trading Co. And then the hand sanitizer that says “vampire blood” on it is from Bath and Body Works. (They’re out of stock in the small size so I linked the larger one.) The large “Spooky” sign is from Dollar Tree.
More Options:
For my neighbor Kristen, she has a toddler son so he got: a plushy bat wearing a pumpkin costume, a puzzle, temporary Halloween tattoos, vampire teeth, and Halloween pencils with toppers. Her and her husband got pumpkin shot glasses, drink stirrers, beer coozies, the “You’ve been Boo’d” spatula, necklaces, a gel window cling, and candy. The wooden “eek” sign and the potion bottle of “ghost’s breath” are both from Target’s Bullseye’s Playground too!
For Kids:
My daughter, Lila is always very jealous of how elaborate I make our baskets for the neighbors. She asked me if I’d make one for her and Winnie this year. Of course I obliged! They got less items, but they were more expensive.
Lila’s Basket:
Both of my girls got: slippers, stickers, a Halloween Pez dispenser, a test tube puzzle, an eyeball shaped hot cocoa bomb (linked a similar one here), a mini squishmallow, and glow-in-the-dark necklace. (I love these ones here!) Side note: I have my girls wear the necklaces when trick-or-treating so they’re easy to spot! The skull beads, pencils, and tin buckets holding the spiders are from Dollar Tree. And they also got hand sanitizer and pop-its too!
Winnie’s Basket:
She got a lot of the same things as Lila, only in different patterns and colors. Lila’s favorite color is orange and Winnie’s is purple, so I kept that in mind when purchasing!

For 2023, I am switching it up and doing PINK Halloween Boo Baskets for my kids and neighbors! Stay tuned for that post, and thanks for reading!
